Today I got up and drove to visit my grandparents. After arriving I had the first spark of thought to a topic in everyone's life. Technology. I was trying to explain to them mapquest....which they could not comprehended. I thought what a miserable life to not have the wonderful knowledge about technology that we have today.
Later that day my 16 year old cousin came over and was explaining how she text messages her family on the house phone. Which I had never heard of. Apparently a computer reads the message to the listener. After my 13 year old cousin wanted to show me his itouch from apple. He was playing with it and using it without a second thought. I looked up to see my grandparents in a daze. Similar to when students daze off in school having no knowledge or care of the lesson being taught. Losing out on the features and benefits of this technology. I quickly reminded myself of how beautiful youth is and how important technology is.
People are always looking for an easier way. Technology is that answer. An example of this is the process of people getting information to each other faster and easier. Starting with sounds, than symbols, words, pony express, telegraph, phones, internet, within that emails, social networks.... I wonder what will be next?
